Can't send or receive texts from one person

I can't send texts to one person, and they can't send texts to me. We can both send texts to everyone else. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 11 X and the other phone is an iPhone....I don't know what kind. What might be the problem?

It's hard to say, did you recently have an iPhone and then switched to the galaxy? Is it possible one/both of you have blocked the number accidentally on your phones?

Nope - I haven't blocked them. 😞

Can not send messages to one person but can receive from them
This was my first phone actually. How do you block a number? I actually don't know how... I can call them, though. Just not text. Or maybe they accidentally blocked me?
Is there nothing else I can do? 😞

Here is another thing to check....ask your friend if he/she is sending the message as an iMessage or as text. They need to default to send message as text otherwise you wont get. Now this only solves half the equation, but it's a start.

Thanks! I can ask them that. But you're right... it wouldn't solve the problem of my texts not reaching them. Hmm...
So blocking is the only reason someone might not get my texts?

You may need to enter the appropriate country code into the number your texting to. I've heard of people having a difficult time texting people in other countries because they're not using the correct country code. For example, Canada and the us have a country code of '1'. Is the person you're texting located outside of Canada or the us?

Brenda they likely have blocked you accidentally, it would be a setting on their phone.
Well I put in the 1 and the area code, and then they got my text. And I got their reply. But then when I responded to their reply, they never got it. They sent another message wondering if I was getting their texts...which I was....but I guess they're not getting any more of mine?!? Oh this is so confusing.
Is there anything else I can do?
Would there be any other reason that this doesn't work?
