Can I switch from a Tab Medium to a Tab Small? And what is the difference, I assume I would have to pay something.

Do you mean switch from a tab medium to a tab small plan or switch from paying $15 to $7/month?

I dont believe it is possible but im confused as to why you would want to. If there was a way to switch you would get $7/month for the remaining time on the contract but you would have to pay the difference. Why do you want to switch? If you just no longer want to pay a tab you can pay it off as long as you have been a Koodo customer for 90 days.

Its okay, I won't switch. I was just curious what my options were. I thought it was Cheaper on Tab Small but it really makes no difference.

No, the only difference is how much you pay up front and month. Occasionally there will be differences depending on the phone but generally speaking the three tabs just distribute how you pay for the device differently.

No, it is cheaper because you don't have to upgrade to a more expensive phone plan. Pay an extra $15/month for a bigger phone plan, and after two years that works out to be double the tab price for your phone.

Depends on what plan you have. If you already have a $45/month plan then there is no difference between tab medium and small except for the amount you pay up front and monthly. Still the same in the end.

True. So true.

To answer OP's question...based on what I've learned from customer service, you can't make "tab installments" (except for at the time of activation or upgrade). When you activate, you have the option of paying for part of or the entire balance. Once you're on a tab, your only options are to ride it out or pay off the entire remaining tab balance.
Advantages of a tab small allows you to go on a cheaper base plan (tab small plan requirements are less than tab medium plan requirements) and to have a lower bill. Once you start the tab medium, the only way to switch to a tab small is to do a hardware upgrade.
To be fair, no other wireless provider will let you pay part of the buy-out as a one-time installment after the agreement starts.
