Calls going straight to voicemail

Tonight it happened again. I have my phone nearby and I notice I have received a VM. However, there are zero missed calls. The Do Not Disturb is not enabled. There are no new calls in the phone log. I am told the phone rings until the VM picks up, yet there is no record of the call coming in.

Why does this happen?

Was your phone on “airplane mode” or your phone got signal at the time of the call? If you didn’t have any record of the calls, it could be the case with zero signal reception.

It can also happen when local circuits are overloaded, and a connection to your phone can’t be made.

I’ve had this happen many times as well and it is random. My brother and mom are also with koodo and we all have different phones and they experience the same thing quite often. So it’s not the phones, as they aren’t on do no disturb or A/P mode and restarting the phones doesn’t do anything either. This has to be a koodo thing and it is very annoying. We are debating trying someone other than koodo.

Are you all living in the same area?  I have heard of this issue happening lately.  The randomness definitely makes it harder to diagnois
