Billing cycle on phone doesn't match bill

Hi everyone,

I had a shared account with my (now ex) girlfriend. She was the account holder, but 2 weeks ago transferred the entire account to me. Then disconnected her phone.

Previously our billing cycle was 12th of month to 11th of the next month.

But, now my billing cycle is the 6th to the 5th.

My problem is that my phone is only reporting I used 3.5 MB, but I just got a text saying I've used 30 MB.

How can I get my phone to match my account?
I tried using the robot chat and after 15 minutes, it couldn't figure out my problem.
Any help would be awesome!

Have you tried with cellular data turned on? As I recall certain features are unavailable if it is not.

Settings>Connections>Data Usage

Here you can change the billing cycle date on your device to what it actually is in real life

Thanks for the response.

I went into "Settings", but I don't see anything called "Connections".
There is an option called "Data Usage", but I don't see how/where to change the dates.
There is a drop menu showing Sep12-Oct11, with 3 previous months of similar dates.
But my new billing cycle is the 6th to 5th.

Anything else I can try?

My phone is a Moto G, using Android 5.1

Go into Data usage and there should be a menu to change or edit the dates.
Try clicking on the dates or look for a "..." more options button
