Bill too high

Each of us is on a 55 dollar a montg plan. Tabs were paid off last month no overages and my bill is almost 250.00? On top of that why in gods name are you charging peple to talk to customer service? Business practises and customer service are not very impressive right now?

There is no charge for speaking to customer service, nor is there a charge for asking questions. Charges apply if you ask them to make changes to your account which can be made for free through self serve. Speaking of self serve, have you signed in and looked at your detailed bill? (click view bill, then download pdf). Page three will provide a detailed breakdown of any charges on the bill.
Thats the same for us. We paid and then got another bill. And to top it off, my husband was charged $60 than $61 and he had no access to texting or data or anything, but still was billed from May 29 to July 19th. 😕 - Feeling disappointed.

Shannon. Can you start your question using this link?

Can you check your E-bill, page 3. (You will see all the detailed charges.)
Tell us what seems doesn't make sense?
Did you cancel your service?  Did you just sign up with Koodo...etc.
We need more info to see what is going on.

@ Shannon a balance carried forward can explain why your bill is higher in addition to significant extra data use on two of the three lines.

Steven, the last bill you have includes the last tab charges for the 3 lines. Your next bill will be without these. You started your agreement in August 2015 so July is the last month for paying for the phones you have.

Also, rate plan changes were made in July which makes this month seem a little higher because of proration. All the details are on the invoice if you'd like to look into it further.

Would account for 30 dollar difference in my bill not 70 dollars.

If you changed your plan(s), then it most likely prorated amounts added there too. Your Ebill should show you all the details - charges for new plan + prorated/partial charge since you change your plan, credit from old plan... etc.

Hey Steve,

If they really charged you for talking to Customer Service you must have made at least 25 phone calls to them, every time asking for some changes to be made.

Didn't see @ Bernard response, yet.

Never the less it is a good example for those who think that they are overcharged for talking to Customer Service.
Alright when I checked the data turn its self off when you reach your limit. Also there were no overages on my data when I was on the self serve. More over if you xall customer service it says in the recording you will be charged 10 dollars for this call. More importantly one problem one agent not 7 of you ganging up on a complaint?

You know this is a public forum where customers, just like you, offer their time and knowledge to help others? There has been a reply from but one Koodo employee, the rest are volunteers. There are also two questions here, as Shannon Humchitt also jumped in with a question. When you call, you are told you MAY be charged, for staff to complete tasks that can be done in self-serve.

Actually, if you listen to the message again, it specifically says that you'll be charged $10 for account changes made by a customer service rep. It does not say that you'll be charged simply for calling. And you posted your wisdom on a public customer forum. If you want a direct private line to koodo you'll need to either call or contact them via facebook messenger.
