Apps keep crashing

I can't open any apps, I just keep getting a pop up saying whatever app I try to open has stopped. I Can't even open Google to try to fix it. I've tried reseting my phone and that didn't work either

Hey all, getting word that there is indeed an issue with Samsung applications crashing.
These are the instructions we were provided:

“Updating Android System WebView and Google Chrome via Google Play should now resolve the issue for all users.

1. Navigate to Play Store app
2. Search for Android System WebView: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview 
3. Select the "Update" option
4. Repeat these steps for Google Chrome: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome

I'm having the same problem. Samsung Galaxy A70

Same problem. Since yesterday at 4pm.  Three Samsung Galaxy A5 phones.  A 4th is fine at the moment.  Things are getting progressively worse. Can’t send text messages now, but can receive them. Apps that were working earlier have also stopped.

Same thing happening here...I can't even get into.google now.

Just disable Google chrome - apparently it's a bug with that.  I just did it - all my apps are working fine now.

Disabling Chrome fixed two of the phones in my household but not the third.  Can send a text, but it crashes when I click the send button. Still getting “app has stopped working” error message on most things.

If you can, try uninstalling Android system webview from the Google Play store, then uninstalling/reinstalling the crashing app(s).

That should fix it, at least in the short term. If it doesn't, contact koodo support and they can log a ticket. They are aware there is an issue affecting Samsung phones, but are still working on a long term fix.

My goggle keeps crashing.  Also can't play any games on messenger.

Was there an update for “Android System WebView” and “Google Chrome”?

Are you on a samsung phone?

I do not have an option in the play store to update 'Android System Webview' but I was able to update Google chrome, at the moment my apps seem to be working ok. My phone is an S7.
