Android phones having issues right after the warranty expires

I have had problems with Android phones for the past 2 years. The phones seem to mysteriously go bust a month or two after my warranty period expires. First phone was a Galaxy S3 that I bought in April 2013 and had to replace by May 2014. Now my Nexus 5 which I got after that has stopped working. I initially thought it was my usage, but then a couple of friends told me about the same issue with their phones. Is anybody else having this problem?

I think it's just coincidence. They're not designed to fail. I'm sorry that you've had bad luck with your phones but I've owned probably a dozen Androids and I've only had to send one for warranty servicing due to a vibration motor failure.
