Alcatel Pop Icon


Wish to trade in this phone. Have this phone less then a year. One the second battery which does not last longer then 5 hrs when fully charged.   The phone gets very warm. The touch pad is not working as it should.  Speaking to a person and it is not clear. NOT a good phone at all. HTC was better. I want to have another phone or I will leave Koodo!

If the phone is malfunctioning you need to goto a kiosk or call.koodo and arrange for warranty service. Koodo doesn't manufacture the phone they only provide the service. If you're unhappy with your phone you can. Pay off your tab and finance a new phone and Sell the icon and use the money towards a new phone. Buy a used compatible device from eBay or Kijiji. Good luck.
Koodo decides what phones to carry or not, therefore, Koodo does have a [b]responsibility to not carry phones that malfunction. Interesting, even the sales people I have spoken to about by problems at the kiosk agree, that they would NOT have sold me this phone a year ago. Unfortunately, I did not have this person a year ago selling me this phone.

I agree with you. Koodo should only sell phones that don't malfunction. Same with car dealers they should only sell cars that don't malfunction,best buy should only sell devices that won't malfunction, etc etc. And not for nothing but it was possible to research the device before purchasing and that'd be your responsibility. Even if Koodo didn't carry it before it wasn't an exclusive. There's no way to tell in advance if a device will malfunction. Get your device fixed or sell it. But you can't blame Koodo for Alcatel's failures.

For every single product that is manufactured, you will find at least 1 that is faulty. That is why we have manufacturer warranties. I've been in the wireless industry for 16 years, and I've never seen a phone model where at least 1 didn't crap out. Blaming the provider is NOT the solution.

And The sales person would have sold you whatever device you were willing to buy a year ago.

And, the product should NEVER have been  part of Koodo product line..end of story..current employers feel it is a crap product and have told me so,..YES..I shall continue to say how crappy it is wherever this phone is reviewed.  I will keep spreading the word PERIOD!!
