Add a line -- Shared tab and bill?

So I currently have a line right now with a negative balance (so I have credit on the balance at the moment) and I'm looking to add a second line as well. I also have a positive tab balance at the moment which means I can get a discount on my tab.

If I add a line, would the credit on my current line apply to the second line as well or would it only apply if I got a hardware upgrade?

Hello Ryan,

I'm not sure to understand fully what you're saying. So yo have 1 account with Koodo or 2? Because I'm not sure how you can have a positive and negative balance. Ill try answering your question and modify if needed.

Usually, you cannot mix credits or tabs from one line to another. Each line is like a spearate account.
I have a negative balance as in [b]billing amount (not to be confused with my positive [b]tab balance).

I was looking to add a second line, but if I cannot use the tab balance I do not think I'd want to do that.

If I were to cancel the account, would I be refunded the tab balance/account balance? [I was made aware a cheque would be sent for the account balance but unsure about the tab balance]

You'd be refunded any outstanding account balance - has a minimum threshold...can't remember what it is, but for under $20 I think they won't send a refund check.
Positive tab balance is like a coupon. If you cancel that line, you lose the coupon.

No cheque would be sent for your tab. You would just lose it. But there's a solution. What you can do is buy the phone with the first account then open another line with as a BYOD line.
