Account activated but I haven't received a phone yet.


I ordered a pixel on the black Friday special. I realize that there is a backlog. I haven't received the phone yet but online my new account was activated on December 2. It looks like I'm paying for a phone that I don't have. Am I?

Did you receive shipping info by email yet?
I did receive a shipping email on the 5th.  It had an expected delivery of yesterday.  I still don't know why I would be paying for it as of the 2nd.

Hi Jeff - SIM cards for new activations are typically activate once the device has shipped so that it's working by the time it arrives. In your case, I see that the order was shipped on Dec. 5, the new line was activated on Dec. 6, and as of right now Canada Post tracking shows that it's in transit so you should receive it soon.

When I look at my usage in self serve it says Dec 2 - Jan 1. Will my first bill be prorated ?

Your billing cycle stays the same as it currently is (2nd to 1st of every month) - so yes, charges for the new line will be pro-rated, i.e. you'll be charged from Dec. 6th to Jan. 1st and then begin your first full month.
